It is understood that single-girder cranes typically have a certain service life. Of course, this is not fixed; with proper maintenance during daily use, both lifespan and performance can improve. However, if machine maintenance and operation are neglected during use, single-girder cranes often experience premature aging and reduced lifespan. Below, we will explore maintenance methods for single-girder cranes.
Maintenance Methods for Single-Girder Cranes:
1. Regularly inspect the temperature of the crane motor housing and bearings, as well as monitor for abnormal motor noise or vibration. During frequent starts, the motor experiences rapid temperature rise due to low rotational speed, poor ventilation cooling, and high current draw. Ensure motor temperature does not exceed the upper limit specified in its manual. Adjust the brake according to the motor's operating instructions.
2. If the single-girder crane is infrequently used with good sealing and operating conditions, replace the lubricating oil in the gearbox every six months. In harsh environments, replace it quarterly. If water enters the oil tank or foam frequently appears on the oil surface, immediately replace the oil upon confirming deterioration. When changing oil, strictly use the oil type specified in the gearbox manual. Avoid mixing different oil types.
3. Inspection: Primarily involves checking whether components of the single-girder crane show no wear, remain securely fastened, and whether safety devices are in good working order during daily idle periods and operation. Any issues discovered must be addressed immediately. If unable to resolve the issue independently, mark the equipment, instruct other personnel to cease operations, report to superiors immediately, and only resume work after maintenance personnel have addressed the issue.
4. Single-girder cranes are constructed from materials like steel, leading to component wear during operation. Lubricants were developed to effectively reduce equipment wear. Proper lubrication is a specialized skill; maintenance personnel must strictly adhere to standards to ensure thorough lubrication.
5. Cleanliness: Single-girder cranes operating in harsh environments inevitably accumulate external dust and debris. However, if dust infiltrates internal components due to damaged seals, it may cause unpredictable severe consequences. Furthermore, if the surfaces of the machine's cooling system become covered with excessive impurities or dust, the cooling system will fail. Additionally, cleaning the equipment effectively prevents severe corrosion of its surfaces by acids, alkalis, and other substances.
6. All personnel involved in single-girder crane operations must strictly adhere to equipment operating standards. Never assume operational expertise exists; accidents can easily occur due to operator errors or mistakes by other relevant personnel.
The above outlines maintenance methods for single-girder cranes. For further details, feel free to contact us anytime! With years of experience, our company looks forward to your partnership.
